Samsung has officially announced the date of its next Galaxy Unpacked event. The keynoye will take place on September 23. Could this be the launch of the S20 Series Fan Editions we’ve heard about for a long time?
Samsung invites you to join a livestream on September 23 for a Galaxy Unpacked. This is the event for all fans of the brand. The presentation will take place in the Samsung press room, on Samsung.com and on YouTube at 4 p.m. KST. A short teaser has already been posted by the South Korean brand.
The video does not reveal much, but we can see two smartphones replacing the two “a” in the word “Galaxy”. Given that the launch of the Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy Note 20 series has already taken place this year, this latest event could be the probable launch of the Fan Edition.
More affordable versions of Samsung’s two flagship smartphone lines have been around the media for some time now, and could possibly launch as early as next week.
Samsung doesn’t typically host special events for its A or M series smartphones, and this introductory video confirms that the event will be smartphone-focused, but we’ll have to wait and see what the automaker has in store for us on the 23rd. September to be sure.
Further information on the markets and sales of the Galaxy Z Fold 2, which recently surprised Indian consumers, could also be announced at the event. Samsung is also expected to show off elements of its Android 11-based OneUI 3 interface. Developer beta has already launched in its home country, Korea, and we might see some new features showcased at the Unpacked event.
