It will surely be for the launch of Googe Pixel 5 and 4a 5G. Both smartphones are sort of official already and can be found live on the Google store, but Mountain View is likely to show off their features and announce official pricing at the event at the end of the month.
Pixel 5 and 4a 5G have already leaked
As reported by XDA-Developers with reference to a post now deleted on the social network Reddit, a user of the service published the alleged technical data of the two devices in addition to an image of the black Pixel 5 and the white Pixel 4a 5G.
The Pixel 5 (left in the photo) is much smaller and has a slightly textured back. The Leaker would have described it as a plastic with a matte design. The design of the cameras looks identical on both models. We can also see the fingerprint sensor on the back of both devices.
Here are the Pixel 5’s supposed tech specs based on the recent leak:
- 4000 mAh battery
- 0.5x wide-angle camera, optionally with 16 MP sensor (Sony IMX481)
- Standard 12.2 mega-pixel camera (allegedly a Sony IMX363)
- 8-megapixel front camera (Sony IMX355)
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G
- 8 GB RAM
- 90 Hz screen
- Plastic case with fingerprint reader on the back
- No 3.5mm mini jack
Pixel 4a 5G: the white model would have a smaller battery
Along with the Pixel 5 info, the leaker also mentioned the alleged Pixel 4a 5G details. As the similarity of the photo modules already suggests, the cameras are supposed to be identical on the two upcoming smartphones.
Inside, however, Google would save money. So, there would only be a 3800mAh battery in the Pixel 4a 5G. The processor would also be a Snapdragon 765G, but only 6 GB of RAM would be available. In addition, the screen only supports a maximum of 60 Hertz. However as opposed to the Pixel 5, the 4a 5G is supposed to offer a traditional headphone jack.
The leaker did not provide details on the screen dimensions. Either way, however, it should be a variant with perforation like the Pixel 4a. The price of the Pixel 4a 5G would start at US $ 499. There was no information on the cost of the Pixel 5.
According to the latest rumors, the Pixel 5 (in black and green) and the Pixel 4a 5G (black) could be available from September 30, 2020. A white version of the Pixel 4a 5G would be available in October.
While a few days ago on the US Google site, internal indications indicated that the Pixel 5 and Pixel 4a (5G) could be pre-ordered from October 8, 2020, there are now reasons to hope for a launch. earlier. If leaker Jon Prosser and his sources are to be believed, at least the Pixel 5 and a variant of the Pixel 4a 5G should be available a few days before the previously announced date.
What we see in the system is

According to Mr. Prosser, the Pixel 5 will appear will be available in black and green colors as of September 30, 2020. The same goes for the black version of Pixel 4a (5G).
However, those eagerly awaiting a white Pixel 4a 5G will apparently still have to wait until October. The leak could not provide a more concrete date so far.
It is currently assumed that the Pixel 5 like the 4a (5G) will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G and dual cameras on the back. According to Mr. Prosser, the design will be close to the famous Pixel 4 and Pixel 4a.
Traditionally, Google introduced the new Pixel smartphones in the first weeks of October. A presentation at the end of September would therefore be a novelty for Google smartphones. Mr Prosser has not commented on the prices of the two new Pixel devices.
